4's Class

The Mercer Island Learning Lab’s 4’s class consists of children who are at least four-years-old by August 31st of the year they are enrolling.

o Students attend school from 9:00 – 12:00 Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays.

o Parents work an average of 2 times per month in the classroom.

o Parents hold a chosen “job” throughout the year in order to keep the school running smoothly.  Examples of jobs are secretary, book orders, field trip coordinator, etc.

o Parents attend a parent meeting/parent education session one time per month.  As such, parents receive college credits from Bellevue Community College.

o Tuition for 2015-16 was $615 per quarter (subject to change) with a $75 non-refundable registration fee.

The culmination of the 4’s class is an overnight trip, with teachers and parents, to Pioneer Farms, where the students are able to learn about and briefly live the lives of pioneers.  What an experience!
